Work From Anywhere — When Work Meets Real Life

Last month, I had the opportunity to experience a “Work from Anywhere” option, and it turned out to be one of the most refreshing months I’ve had in a long time. After spending several months on full-night and half-night shifts, that flexibility felt like a real breather.

No late-night rush, no missed family time — just slow mornings, home-cooked food, and more moments with my son. That was the best part.

The Real Side of Remote Work

Working from home came with its fair share of fun moments. My son often made surprise appearances during virtual meetings, proudly waving at my teammates. A few times, the cooker whistle decided to join the discussion right when I was trying to make a serious point. And of course, the classic work-from-home dress code — formal shirt on top, lungi below. The comfort was unbeatable.

Those small, funny interruptions made each day more real and reminded me that work doesn’t always have to be all about discipline — it can be about balance too.

Finding the Balance

Lunch breaks finally felt like actual breaks. I had time to enjoy home food, relax, and spend unhurried evenings with my son. Somewhere between family, food, and focused work, I rediscovered what work-life balance really means.

That month taught me that flexibility is not just about where we work, but how we choose to live while working. I came out of it feeling recharged, grounded, and ready to give my best — lungi mode included.
